Noatum Logistics relies on Muscle Suit Every exoskeletons to prevent lower back injuries

According to the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) are one of the most common work-related ailments among the working population in the European Union.

Weight bearing efforts or recurrent load manipulation expose the lumbar area to a very high degree of muscular injuries. If this effort is repetitive and the load manipulation is repeated throughout the working day, we increase the possibility of suffering this type of injury.

As a result of this commitment to prevention and occupational safety, the project for the use and implementation of exoskeletons in its facilities at the ZAL Port of Barcelona was born. The implementation of the Muscle Suit Every lumbar exoskeleton has allowed Noatum Logistics to address musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) and prevent the aforementioned injuries.

One of the key points when evaluating the implementation and use of exoskeletons began with the evolution of the preventive culture of the logistics facilities themselves.

A first working session was established with Healthy Suits, the center’s management, the prevention department and the future users of the exoskeletons. This first meeting allowed us to define a working framework and a first common objective: to define the work areas most in need of ergonomic improvement.

Through participatory prevention and the involvement of all departments, we generated a collaborative work environment, where the common goal was always the same: prevention and safety in the work environment. This objective has allowed Noatum Logistics to create safer and healthier environments, in addition to the integration of prevention in logistics facilities.

Noatum Logistics employees saw firsthand how the Muscle Suit Every exoskeleton adapts perfectly to the body and allows them to comfortably perform the actions intrinsically associated with movement in their workplace and the recurrent handling of loads.
